Arch Bail Maker Formers and Cutters

These bail maker formers and cutters make perfect sized arch bails for metal clay.
A set contains one former (drying shape) and one cutter.
Full set contains 4 formers & 4 strip cutters.
Sizes available: 6mm, 5mm, 4mm & 3mm

Dimensions:
6mm set: Former makes 6mm internal diameter arch, strip cutter 15mm long x 3mm wide.
5mm set: Former makes 5mm internal diameter arch, strip cutter 13mm long x 3mm wide.
4mm set: Former makes 4mm internal diameter arch, strip cutter 10mm long x 3mm wide.
3mm set: Former makes 3mm internal diameter arch, strip cutter 9mm long x 3mm wide.
The strip cutters make the perfect length strip to fit the former. Clay can be rolled to 1mm (4 cards) or 0.75mm (3 cards) thick. I recommend 1mm for the 6mm, 5mm and 4mm, 0.75mm for the 3mm size.
DO NOT PUT FORMERS ON OR IN ANYTHING HOT! They are made of plastic and will melt.
The cutting edge is super fine: 0.2mm-0.3mm, width varies depending on the complexity of the design.
Most cutters have the size embossed on the side. Special or complex shapes do not.
The size is the diameter of the shape when cut, sizes are approximate.
These cutters are designed for metal clay, they will also work for polymer clay and air dry clay.
Please note:
- All cutters are printed to order, please allow *5-7 processing days (not including shipping / in transit days) when ordering.
- Cutters are made of durable but not indestructable PLA plastic. To clean them use warm water only.
- Colour of the cutters may vary. The colour in the photos is not gauranteed.
- Sizes are approximate and may be slightly larger or smaller than stated.
- They cannot withstand heat: do not put in a dehydrator, on a hot plate, in hot water or leave in strong direct sunlight.
- Clay can stick to the cutters. Always use a good release agent or clingfilm. My tips for using the cutters are coming soon!
- The very fine cutting edge can be damaged if cutters are stored haphazardly together.
- A full set (if offered) will have one cutter of each size.
